Do you have a health or weight loss goal? I’m thrilled to announce my new app Should I Eat It? is designed to help get you there by judging the food you’re about to eat and determining whether you’re allowed to eat it in light of your goals.
Set up the app by entering in some details, including your current weight and your goals. Then simply open the app and take a photo of your food before you eat it, and using the power of Google Images technology, within seconds you’ll receive a judgement from me as to whether you’re allowed to eat that sandwich, drink that beer, or snack on those chips.
Receive positive reinforcement for eating good foods:
Get slapped down into a guilt spiral for eating bad food:
And enjoy a Shafer classic catch phrase, “Could do worse,” for those “meh” choices:
No need to wait to meet with a professional to have your diet—and in effect, yourself—judged HARD!
If you’re ready to download this app, well…you’re out of luck: Happy April Fool’s Day!
Words like Good, Bad, Should, Allow, Cheat, Guilt (and equally bad Guilt-Free) should not apply to the way we eat. As a health coach, my job is not to judge the way you eat and force you into a corner of deprivation; my job is to understand your goals, your environment and your relationships, and to help you become the healthiest version of you, to achieve lasting results, and to also enjoy your life—including eating delicious, sometimes even indulgent food.
If you’re ready to embark on that, I welcome you to be in touch!
